THE GABLERBRÄU

One of the oldest inns
in the city of Salzburg.

MEGA AKTION

LET´S GO TO THE GABLERBRÄU!

The Gablerbräu – gastronomic heart on the east bank of the river Salzach

gablerbräu1

It’s a place where we conjure up delicious, traditional and modern dishes at a price which won’t break the bank. Where the charm and wit of your hostess, Julia, will delight you. Where the experienced service crew provide a super efficient service.

And then, there is the unique atmosphere. Our guests are always amazed – the place is as interesting as a museum, as beautiful as a church: stained-glass windows, a neo-Gothic room with medieval carvings and a vaulted ceiling in the centre.

Take a seat and enjoy the cultural experience that is the Gablerbräu: whilst eating oxtail in red wine gravy, a classic Wiener Schnitzel or a beef goulash or drinking our home brewed beer – a big favourite.

Eat. Drink. Live. Where else would you want to eat in Salzburg if not here?

HISTORY THAT WRITES HISTORY

A look back at the history of the Gablerbräu.

Geschichte

Did you know that the “Gablerbräu” was once one of the most important pub breweries in Salzburg?

Did you know that the Rockhouse on Schallmooser Hauptstraße was nothing but the former beer cellar of the Gablerbräu. Did you know that the brewery plant of the Gablerbräu even stretched as far as the present “Zentrum im Berg” at the foot of the “Kapuzinerberg”. Did you know that there was a tailor’s shop in the listed “Wappenstube”. The history of the Gablerbräu is full of interesting details and is thus a treasure trove for historians and people who are interested in history.

Always worth a visit.
